Gina Rodriguez
Hi my name is Virginia Rodriguez, but everyone knows me as Gina. I'd like to take this opportunity to tell you a little about myself.
I grew up in Navasota,Texas, south of Bryan/College Station, but I have lived in the Katy area for 5 years now with my husband and our 2-year-old daughter.
I have played piano for more than 20 years now. I began piano lessons at the age of 7 with Mrs. Judith LaFontaine, and I was her student for 9 years. During that time, Mrs. LaFontaine "forced" me to do Guild Competitions----at least that is how I remembered it!----but when I look back, I realize what a valuable experience it was.
I play other instruments as well. For instance, I joined the Junior High Band and learned how to play Alto and Baritone Saxophone.I also was part of the Navasota High School Marching Band and participated in the UIL Solo and Ensemble competitions.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our beautiful daughter. We are blessed to be adding another member to our family. Our family is growing and we couldn't be happier.
